Dietrich Von Koenig, a pirate rookie. He needed to be refilled with adventure oh and also, food. He was out on the great blue North for about four days. He had minimal food left, a leg of a lamb, one croissant and a half a bottle of wine. It was a sunny day, moderate climate, a chance of clouds. But for now, the sky was blue. Dietrich walked out of his bedroom and looked outside. An island was approaching! He quickly took out his map. "Stupid map! Where are you?" He asked himself. He then spotted the map, on the floor, luckily there wasn't any wind yesterday night, or the map would've flown away. The island approaching was Miqueot.
Miqueot, a city renowned for its exquisite wine. Especially its most famous Itelzbulger Stein. The buildings are all in French Baroque style, with the mayor's chateaux at the center of the city.
A few minutes after the island was in reach. He approached the island and docked his ship on a sandy beach surrounding the island. He then jumped off the ship, landing on his two feet. He then walked out to the hills of the island. He saw a huge city, but first of all he knew he had to drink something. "Sake, sake, sake, sake." He said. Walking down the hills in joy.
He approached a local bar, it seemed to be packed. He walked up to the sake server. "Gimme' a medium sake. Now." He said, in his manly voice. He sat down at the counter, waiting for the bar server to get his drink. He looked around the bar, everyone was talking and gambling and arm wrestling. Something caught his sight, a girl she looked around 20, she was about five foot two, the thing that caught the eye about her was she was beating multiple people in the arm wrestling matches.
His sword and both katana's shined in the light. He approached the lady. Everybody seemed scared, except for the pirate, Dietrich Von Koenig. "I will try." He said to the lady, grinning. Everybody stared at Dietrich in shock, he challenged a champion.

Ellyn was a bit out of place here, in the chilly North sea. She was a Western girl, and had come here 'on business' for the boss of the shipyard. They were supposed to be getting a shipment of some very high-class wood for a very high-class ship they were building for- wouldn't you guess?- Celestial Dragons. Ellyn hadn't wanted to go at first; she was no good with cold, didn't want to leave her mother and brother (even though her step-father was taking good care of both of them) and ultimately just wanted to stay and work on her own little project; the Mecha Launcher 3, a ship within a ship that'd be launched from an air-cannon of sorts and sent to board enemy ships not so discretely. She'd been getting all kinds of kinks in the system... for one, her air cannons were proving highly explosive. All in all, it'd cost the shipyards hundreds in repairs.
...on second thought, perhaps that was why she'd been sent away for a while.
Either way, Ellyn had been in Miqueot, the designated meeting place, for a week now and those shoddy bastards were still held up. She'd gotten a call from the den den mushi at least once a day saying, 'We've hit an ice patch, we can't go on until it melts,' or 'we've spotted pirates nearby so we're docking for the night.' In short, she'd found out the hard way that the glorified wood couriers her boss had commended for bravery and speed were really nothing but a batch of dumbass cowards afraid of a fight. Not only was it disappointing, it was trying Ellyn's very, very limited patience.
So, to bide her time, Ellyn did what any reasonable shipwright would; she spent all her time (and money) in the taverns, arm wrestling strangers for drinks. It took her all of three days to gain a reputation, and all of two days to scare people away. So, for the first time in a week, she was sitting at a table perfectly sober, attempting to entice a sailor into an arm wrestling match.
"What," she challenged, "Afraid to be beat by a girl?" As he stood, gathering his belongings, Ellyn threw back her head and let out a loud, barking laugh. "How funny! Man can't even take a blow to his confidence." She halted her laughter and took another drink of her water- that was only on the house because the bartender thought she was amusing (and she was drawing in customers with her rowdy, loud and challenging air). As another sailor settled in and grasped her hand, made a rude comment about her mother's chastity and started the battle of strength, a stranger walked in. Ellyn paid him little mind, focusing instead on the power struggle before her. Their clasped hands strained to the right a bit before Ellyn allowed him to get almost to his goal before slamming his hand down to her left, her elbow never leaving it's proper spot.
The man stared at his hand from where it'd landed, his eye twitching slightly. Slowly, he stood and walked over to join the other sore losers that'd been defeated by her reign of confidence. Ellyn cracked her knuckles and sent a challenging glance around the bar. "Alright, you half-brained chickenshit bastards, who here wants a rematch?!"
To her surprise, it wasn't one of the defeated men that stepped up (and no wonder), but the stranger who'd walked through the door mere seconds ago. Quirking one eyebrow, she looked over him from hair, to scar to the muscles on his chest, then back to meet his striking blue eyes. Slowly, a smirk started to form over her lips; it wasn't often she got to humiliate a man of his stature. "All right," Ellyn said, grinning as she all but slammed her elbow down on the table and offered up her open hand, still meeting his eyes with that challenging and confident smirk. "You're on."

Dietrich grinned. "I like your guts, girl." He said, not telling her that she was not going to win, nor win. Their arms clasped together as they fought, it took Dietrich ten in a half seconds to pin the lady down. "Checkmate." He said, smiling. The people watching the match stared at him in shock. He beat her in less than a minute, impressive. "I honor your strength," This lady was no ordinary lady, she was quite strong. "Now what might your name b-" A marine cut him off. "Dietrich Von Koenig, Bounty 0." A marine read out. The island had a lot of marine and security.
Dietrich stared at the table and then turned around. "Marines..? My first encounter, you may be the first guests of my katana's." He said, grinning. Without warning, Dietrich attacked. "One Sword Style, Spinning Blade!" Dietrich ran at a couple of marines at full speed then jumped very high, he then span around in a 360 circle. After that he fell down right on his opponent while spinning in the air, combining strength and speed, releasing a deadly attack on his opponents. Several marines died, they were low-rank marines, so they were defeated pretty easily; everybody stared at Dietrich in shock. People started to evacuate the bar, everyone running away due to the battle.
After most of the marines died, a few of them went to go tell the other marines that were on the island. Alas' it was Dietrich and Tariq standing. Tariq wore normal marine clothes, but he wasn't a leader for nothing. He ran at Dietrich at full speed, his goal was to stab Dietrich but Dietrich jumped out of the way but his shoulder was skinned. While Tariq was turning the sword was already in his back. "One Sword Style, Power Slash." He said, grinning. He then ran out of the building, hoping somebody would follow him to give him some information about the island. He didn't really care though, he ran to, he didn't really know where he was running, but eventually he stopped at an abandoned house. He stopped there, catching his breath and drank the leftover sake he had. He stopped, thinking of what he should do next.

Ellyn was one of the very few people in the bar capable of watching the fight brew and commence without batting an eyelash. The man that'd beaten her in less than ten seconds (which she was both impressed and shocked by) was revealed to be a pirate. Ellyn had to smirk at that. As he stood to fight, she leaned back in her seat, not bothering to move or cower, and crossed one leg over the other, elbow on the bar so she could lean and watch clearly. She took into account the sword just as he was making his first attack, which ended up being powerful enough to kill several low-rank marines.
Ellyn made a small clucking noise with her tongue. Mumbling to herself, she said, "That's manslaughter. You're in trouble now, pirate." Of course, as others chose to evacuate, Ellyn stayed put, watching the remainder of the battle, then watching as he fled. It seemed it hadn't taken him long to forget Ellyn, but that was probably to be expected when one was fighting a mob of angry marines. Ellyn took a swig of her water and stood, her chair scraping back loudly. She threw a bag of beri coins on the counter (bets collected from her oh-so-prosperous arm wrestling) and wiped traces of water from her lips. "Oi. Bartender. The fight's over, you can stop cowering now," she said, amusment hinted in her tone. She stepped over the legs of one or two fallen soldier when a bloodied hand shot out and grasped her calf.
"My wife..." the dying marine gasped.
Ellyn looked down at him, eyes hidden by her bangs. "Yeah?" she asked, tone a strange combination of pity and harshness.
"...tell her... I'm not afraid..." he gasped before closing his eyes, his head lolling to the side as he finally released his dying breath. His hand fell away from her calf, yet she remained. Turning to face him, then bending and pulling his coat aside to reveal a picture of a beautiful woman next to a three-year-old boy with a toy gun, she sighed.
"You're a reckless killer," she said, simply, tone emotionless. Nonetheless, she took the picture with her and tucked it into the pocket of her cargo pants, walking out of the door with a stroll that was oddly at ease. "I'd offer to help," Ellyn said, "But the navy takes care of it's own." That being said, she left the tavern and headed off, following the trail of the rookie pirate, Dietrich Von Koenig.
--
He wasn't hard to find. She saw him again, swigging some fancy wine and catching his breath behind an old house. Ellyn quirked her brow, then leaned next to the house, crossed her arms over her chest and kicked her foot up on the house, looking up at the sky. "Stereotypical pirate; flees a bloodbath, then drinks himself stupid." She smirked, then looked to see what kind of impact her statement had. Pausing only momentarily, she nodded as if to say 'hello,' and added, "Name's Ellyn South. I'm a shipwright." Again, she gave him a moment to let this sink in, then pulled the photograph from her pocket and held it out to him. "Pretty reckless work you did in there; not that I'd expect a pirate to have sympathy."

When Dietrich drank sake, it only put the ever-so-tiny effect on him. He looked at the ground and then stood up. He then turned around and stared at her, his blue eyes piercing her gaze. "Ellyn South. Nice to meet you, my name is Dietrich Von Koenig, the next legend." He said, no emotion shown on his face. "You seem familiar, oh, yes, you're the one from the bar." He said, looking at the sky. "Why have you followed me here? You know I could kill you right here and right now? But I am not that type of pirate." He said, normally. He was practically a giant compared to her, standing 6"2" inches tall, without warning, he set off into the village. Talking to her while walking, but hiding his face.
"You're a very strong lad', I must admit."
Dietrich's stomach growled in hunger, "Do you know if there are any restaurants around here?" He asked, trying not to yell out of hunger. Right then a marine ran by him, not noticing him, yelling into his snail walkie-talkie. "He has escaped! he is nowhere to be seen." A voice whispered from the other side of the walkie-talkie. "We have taken his crappy ship. He will have to come for it, sooner or later." Dietrich sighed, "Oh great," Thoughts twirled around in his head, if the marines were that easy, the rest must be easy too. "Now, where's a restaurant when you need one?" He asked Ellyn.

"You're awfully moody," Ellyn said under her breath, tucking the photo into her pocket when he showed no interest in it. She was just as unfazed by his piercing blue gaze as she'd been by the bar fight he'd caused. Ellyn liked to think of herself as unshakable. She quirked an eyebrow when he mentioned how he could kill her. "Don't let one little arm-wrestling victory make you cocky; I'm tougher than I look, and I'm not about to let anyone kill me," she said, kicking off the barn and following him as he walked off. "Why am I following you? Eh, you could attribute that to boredom and curiosity. After all, you're the first person who managed to beat me at arm wrestling!" She chuckled shamelessly, closing both eyes and tucking her chin in a little, then opening her right eye to peer at a stray dog who was looking at her funny.
She heard his request for a restaurant, but was more interested in the passing marine hissing into his snail phone. Apparently, they were looking for him and they had his boat. And still all he cared about was food. Ellyn chuckled a bit, then looked up at him, paying no mind to the size difference. "You're one fearless bastard, aren't you?" She fell into step beside him and put both hands behind her head, interlacing her fingers. "Alright, then. I know where there's a good restaurant- mostly ramen and sushi. I'll have to show you where it is; I'm shit for instructions," she said, never showing a sign of nerves or fear. Either she truly believed they were on the same level, or she was just plain cocky.
Truth be told, Ellyn couldn't explain why she was following him. In all likeliness she really was just bored; and boredom had gotten her in a helluva lot of trouble back at the shipyard. That, and perhaps she was a little curious to see what pirates were all about- at least, this one. If she had such a pirate-like nature, she'd love to find out what that meant. As per usual, she took the situation at face value, shrugged it off and continued about her business; which was picking up her pace and turning to the left, where a small, ill-kept dirt road was. "Turn left here," she said, as if it weren't completely obvious. She continued on her way without bothering to check if he was behind her.

"Turn right here." She said, Dietrich listened to her instructions, he acted as if he had trusted her, but truth be told, he didn't. He took a left and saw a couple of shops and then he spotted the ramen and sushi shop. The store's name was "Tai's Food." Dietrich walked up to the store, his face covered, he walked in, Ellyn beside him and ordered five bowls of ramen and two plates of sushi. Dietrich smiled, his mouth watered in delight and hunger, he could taste the food already.
"That'll be four hundred beri."
"You shitty bastard! Four hundred freakin' beri?!" The man re-assured him. "Yes, four hundred beri." Dietrich checked out his pocket he had two hundred in there and then he checked the other pocket, he had another two hundred in there. Kids, what's two hundred plus two hundred? Four Hundred! Dietrich gave the server the money. "Here you shitty bastard." Right after that he dug in, he ate it within two mere minutes, all that food within two mere minutes. After he finished he walked behind the shop.
"Ellyn South, you might be wanted for this, but, could you do me a favour..?"
"I have a map of the marine building. I have a map." Dietrich Von Koenig thought before-hand, although sometimes he could be ruthless. "There's two guards guarding the main door. If you could mezmerize them with your looks. I could knock them out from behind. After that we will have to wear their uniforms." After that he set off in a flash. He would've been more faster, but he was just a rookie. He knew she could do that so he set off to find the building, he left the map of the city there, behind the store. He knew could find the building and show her looks off.
Dietrich ran away, looking for the building, it took him about five minutes to find the building without the map. He was traveling by roof tops anyway. He stared at the building in awe, it was enormous, enough to hold a ship. After that he climbed the building, slowly and steady. He studied the people of the village, they were so quiet, it almost seemed as if somebody died, they wore casual clothes like any normal human would wear. "Pfft, people should just kill these marines. They're all pretty stupid." He sat at the top of the first floor, waiting for Ellyn South to show up. He didn't need his katana's for these two rookies. They both looked stupid and they both looked like they were single.

Ellyn entered the restaurant with him. She was surprised he was showing so much trust, even though they’d met only… what, ten minutes ago? Either way, Ellyn wasn’t one for traps. Ellyn followed him into the store, not quite sure why she was hanging around; she herself wasn’t hungry, and the curiosity she held for this figure was wearing off since she realized he wasn’t going to come right out and say what he was all about. Ellyn raised an eyebrow at the size of his order, and was further surprised when he acted shocked by the price. Honestly… five ramen bowls and two sushi plates? The guy must eat like a dump truck. Still, Ellyn only sniggered quietly.
Her snickering ended when he put all the food away in a mere two minutes, then left.
Ellyn followed behind, curious about what he was planning next. She was actually surprised when he asked for her help, and proceeded to tell her the faintest outline of his plan. Brave man, she thought, smiling slightly. She watched him leave the map for her, then basically told her to seduce the guards. She quirked a brow- but apparently, her input wasn’t necessary, as he was already gone.
Ellyn shook her head, laughing quietly to herself. “And just what makes him think I’ll follow his instructions?” She scoffed, rolling up the map and sticking it loosely into her pants pocket.
…
Ten minutes later, Ellyn was in front of the marine base, hands on her hips. Fanning herself lightly, Ellyn approached the two with an added sway in her hips, eyes half-lidded, face turned slightly to the side. Apparently, whatever feminine charm she had was working, because the first guard straightened and nudged the second. “Oh, hi there,” Ellyn said, coming to a stop perhaps half a foot from them both. She pulled out the neckline of her shirt a bit further, revealing more cleavage as she fanned her neck, all the while keeping eye contact with the first guard. “Hot day, ain’t it?”

Dietrich didn't find her attracting in any way, he just grinned simply. It was working, the guards were smiling and looked like they were seduced. Right after they were about to start hitting on her Dietrich jumped down from the ceiling, he broke the glass of the window. Right before they turned he had knocked them out, elbow's to their faces. "Thank you Ellyn, you may think I trust you. Actually, I don't." He said, no emotion on his face. He checked his map.
"Time to change into their filthy ugly ass uniforms."
